The Planetary Views sequence includes six unique camera
angles, each showing a full rotation of Mars with a field of view of
about 30 degrees.
Surface
Views: The Surface Views section includes 2D and 3D video
and still images of the surface of Mars (a pair of custom 3D glasses
are included).

Missions: The Mars Missions section provides in depth
multimedia information on all the successful past, present and
future (planned) missions to Mars
Interactive
Maps: The Interactive Maps section includes over 900
chapters that are linked by over 8,000 menu buttons to form a fully
interactive map of Mars
Dual
Operational Modes: An "Entertainment Mode" is
provided for users who want to sit back, relax and watch 90+ minutes
of beautiful video and audio about, you guessed it, Mars. An
"Interactive Mode" is available for users who want to
explore. The title is highly interactive with over 1,000 individual
media elements that can be displayed.
Gallery:
The
Gallery section includes 33 different works of art from three
renowned space artists. A full Dolby Digital 5.1 channel surround
sound performance of Gustav Holst's "The Planets" is
included, performed by Ryan Shore.
Slide
Shows: Four different slide shows are included providing
an in depth look at the 200 largest features on Mars, including
craters, valleys, volcanoes, mountain ranges, canyons, and rifts
Martian
Coronae: Over 200 Easter Eggs are hidden on "Mars,
The Red Planet". Check out our contest page to enter the
current Easter Egg Hunt.
WebDVD:
"Mars, The Red Planet" will be one of the first DVD titles
released using the new Microsoft Web DVD specification.
